How do you write a dvd using a toshiba laptop?

How do you write a dvd using a toshiba laptop?
I have a toshiba satellite laptop and it has a writable dvd on it. How do I make a dvd that is readable on a dvd player? I've never done it before, only made music cds. Is it the same? I have different home videos I'd like to put on a dvd along with movies saved on my computer.

it is basically the same but you need a program to burn the dvd like picase or nero burner

There is an easy way can help you, you should use RZ DVD Creator, it can create standard home DVD, it can convert and burn any videos to DVD(DVD+R,DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-DL, DVD+DL, etc), such as avi to DVD, etc. Work well, easy to use, inexpensive, i like it, and i believe that once you try it, you will like it too. Following is a step by step guide: http://www.rzfun.com/convert-avi-to-dvd.html Hope it can help you.

1 : Run system restore. Select the date and time when it is working fine with sound. Do not use that dell CD again since you have Toshiba.
2 : If you want to safely update your system, get the drivers from the toshiba support site, or use a driver update program. At least that will match your exact hardware with the right driver and OS version.

1 :Lol. Fail.
2 :LMAO
3 :There isnt a secret switch that changes it to game mode. The hardware you have determines what games if any you can run and at what level of detail.
4 :Normally when your interested in gaming you usually buy new computer hardware for that purpose, simply because games are the one of the most demanding tasks you can ask of a computer. However, there is a free alternative, subject to hardware limitations (GPU, RAM, processor). To get the absolute most out of your system you'll need to change your operating system to a less demanding one. You can install Ubuntu (which is user friendly), or you can give Gentoo a try. Gentoo compiles itself basically as it installs so it can fit you computer in ways no other operating system can, but you have to be willing to learn, or you can simply try Ubuntu. As far as games go linux has plenty of games, and on top of that you can run some windows games as well using the WineHQ windows API Layer. In addition to that you can also add Game emulators, these are programs that allow you play sony, super nintento etc games on Linux. Thus even though you want to go the free route, you still have lots of choices, and that's what Linux, UNIX and Opensource is about. If you are willing to learn you'll never want to go back lol. So to get some information on using Linux, as a Gaming Platform see the list of sites below. PS. I really recommend you spend some time on it and try Gentoo it should run the fastest on your system between the two. Hope this helps.
5 :It will be very expensive to turn your laptop into gaming laptop!I think you should check for a brand new alienware laptop.
6 :Are you asking.... ... is there any way to update and upgrade this laptop to enable me to play modern and recent games? Or are you asking... ... is there any way at all to use this Older Toshiba as a gaming platform? They are two different questions with two different answers. If you want to update and upgrade the laptop to play modern and recent games, the answer is No. If you want to play games on that laptop, regardless of WHAT games they are... the answer is Yes. You can find games that will play well enough on that laptop. The Original Quake... the Original Starcraft, etc... older games have a better chance of playing well on that unit. You would need to spend some time on GameSpot http://www.gamespot.com/ or other game review sites to dig up older game titles, and compare their system requirements to the specs of that Satellite... http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Satellite-A135-S7403-Notebook-1-73GHz/dp/B00169PCGQ ... 1.73ghz single core processor, initial 512mb Ram, Intel GMA 950, etc. end of line

The make/model of a computer has nothing to do with what programs it will run (in most cases). What is important is your Operating System, i.e. Windows XP/Vista, Mac OS X, Linux Ubuntu/Fedora/SUSE. Chances are if you've purchase the laptop recently you're running Windows Vista. I don't recommend using any Microsoft software, but there are exceptions. Try Mozilla's Thunderbird for your mail. You won't regret it! http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/
2 :
Vista does not have Outlook Express. Vista has Windows Mail - Outlook Expressed renamed.
