Get a new motherboard for a toshiba laptop?

Is it possible to get a new motherboard for a toshiba laptop?
My Toshiba laptop broke down entirely a almost a year ago. It's two years old by now, and we got it inspected. They said the motherboard was cracked. Is it possible to get it repaired and working again, with all the old information on it?

reset password? start > control panel ... If you lost it, you must use password reset disk or some windows password recovery software. You can try this: 1. Enter a computer that can link to Internet. Download windows login recovery and install the software on that computer. 2. Run the software and create windows password reset disk by follow the instructions. 3. Eject the created CD/DVD and insert it into the locked computer. 4. Reboot the locked computer (it's necessary for you to change your locked computer's BIOS setting to make it boot from CD drive) and then follow the instructions to reset your password. 5. Now login Windows and set a new password.

What is your experience with a Toshiba laptop?

What is your experience with a Toshiba laptop?
Im thinking about buying a gaming laptop from Toshiba. Probably the Qosmio. But I've heard although they are good for gaming, Toshiba laptops have a tendency to have alot of bugs such as blue screen or thye just up and quit working. Hardware problems. Is this true?

Well someone i know has had a toshiba laptop for a couple months now. Shes had no problems. Just keep the fans clear and dont leave it in on in closed spaces. Also if its charged dont leave it plugged in it kills the battery...

I have 2 Toshibas..a full size laptop (Satellite) and a netbook. I have not had any problems with either of them. I've had my big laptop for about 5 months now and it's still great. My Satellite has a dedicated graphics card (Radeon HD 3650) and it plays games great..no problem playing WoW, Devil May Cry 4, Sims 3.. and mine was only around $600.

Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new software, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://rcyj.com

To enable the display of the Volume icon, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. 2. Double-click Sounds and Audio Devices. 3. Click Show volume control on the taskbar. 4. Click OK. When you have the new desktop features enabled, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. 2. Click Sounds, click Speech, and then click Audio Devices. 3. Click Sounds, and then click Audio Devices. 4. Click Show volume control on the taskbar. 5. Click OK. If that doesn't work then try this. Go to "Start".."Control Panel"..."Internet Options"...Click the "Advanced Tab"...scroll down to multimedia and put a check mark in play sounds on websites. Then go to "Tools"..."Manage Add ons"...and make sure everything is enabled. Then close Internet Explorer and reopen or Go to Start -> Run -> and enter Services.msc Scroll down to "Windows Audio". Double click and change the startup type to Automatic or Go to the manufacturer of your computer website and download the necessary free audio driver. Toshiba http://209.167.114.38/support/ Cheers
