How do I recover my toshiba laptop after erasing?

how do I recover my toshiba laptop after erasing the whole hard drive?
I was trying to reboot my laptop back to "in the box" factory settings and clicked on erase hard drive a couple of months ago. Since then I've been trying to figure out how to recover my hard drive back to normal. I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 series

if you did erase it its gone including the recovery partition if you shut it down before it could do any work then perhaps http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD7C02140000R01.htm if not and you really wiped out the drive including the partition - what were you thinking ? Get either a vista or windows 7 install disk - you can download them on a torrent You obviously will need the OS that you have the registration key code on the bottom With Windows XP there were a variety of disks and you had to have the exact disc with the newer ones it one disk for all Install the OS download the drivers from Toshiba and install
2 :
First of all have you got a "D" drive showing in 'Computer' if you have then look on the drive to see if you have HDDRecovery' if not then you will need to get the OS disc from Toshiba to reinstall your system to the original state.

Any HDMI cable will do. You can find different kinds here: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=hdmi+cable&x=0&y=0
2 :
If your laptop has an HDMI port, then you need an HDMI cable. If your laptop only has the VGA port, then you will need some kind of adapter, either to convert it to S-video: http://sewelldirect.com/PC-to-TV-Converter.asp? or to convert to HDMI or component: http://sewelldirect.com/articles/vga-to-hdmi.aspx Note that going to S-video won't give such great video quality (okay for movies, not so good for web surfing & reading text). Going to HDMI or component will give good quality video.

Toshiba Satellite T135 Laptop

What is needed in the Toshiba laptop's startup programs?
I have a Toshiba Satellite T135 laptop and I was going through the startup programs. I was wondering what exactly should I NOT get rid of... If anyone can help me with what programs are a necessity to have running, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

The main things are antivirus, and your touchpad device. I only have two items in my startup on my desktop, and three on my laptop. Antivirus, antispyware, (and touchpad-laptop only.

USB port?? or assuming you want to use TV as a Monitor, Laptop has a 15 pin connector for a larger monitor, you may have to buy a "gender bender" or adaptor to plug into TV, or a ready made cable?

Does your TV have a VGA or RGB input? This would look exactly like the port on the Left side of your L500 Laptop? if so just get a cable SVGA Male to male cable like this. http://www.cableguyusa.com/cgi-bin/cable/601-314-FC-6.html and for the Audio http://www.cableguyusa.com/cgi-bin/cable/601-801-6.html and http://www.cableguyusa.com/cgi-bin/cable/601-806-6in.html if you Don't have the RGB/VGA input on your TV You could also convert the Video and Audio from your laptop to HDMI with this http://www.cableguyusa.com/cgi-bin/cable/601-326-VGA-HDMI.html You would still need the above cables, and an HDMI Cable http://www.cableguyusa.com/cgi-bin/cable/601-31A-6.html.
