Why won't the dvd drive on my Toshiba laptop work?
Toshiba Equium brand new laptop and it I just keep getting a message which says something about the configuration (in the registry) being wrong and something about code 19. It gives me the option of finding a solution from Microsoft but when I try this nothing happens. Any ideas?

You can modify the Registry yourself. Click Run, type regedit Navigate to LOCAL MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Control Class 4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-0800 Delete Upperfilters Delete Lowerfilters Reboot & drive should be recongised as DVD/CD

yeah try to go to the control panel and then double click on system and then navigate to device manager, when your there find your dvd drive and right click on it and click properties. then when the next box pops up click update driver and allow windows to connect to the internet and search for a new driver. if it finds one and installs it may fix your problem, if not go to www.toshiba.com and check there for a firmware or driver update for your drive? good luck :oP

How do you find the web camera on a toshiba laptop?
how do you find the web camera on a toshiba laptop?
my friend just got a toshiba laptop and we cant find the web cam or like we dont know anywhere to find it or how to get to it....help?

If it came with a camera built in, then right above the screen. If you need a new one, Walmart $40-$50. If it came with an after-market (not built-in) one, make sure it's under the "Comes With" list and not the "We Recommend' list. It happen to me all the time.

Will the sims 3 work on my Toshiba laptop?
I have a Toshiba Satellite L305-S5945, and i'm wondering whether to buy the sims 3 or not, and I'm afraid it won't work. I have looked at the requirements but i don't know if they match with my laptop. Could someone tell me if the Sims 3 will work properly on my laptop please?
