Do you own any Toshiba laptop?

Do you own a Toshiba? Pros and cons about their laptop products?
Do you own any Toshiba laptop? Are their laptops really more durable and robust than other brands? Most things ive heard and the pride of toshiba is their unsurpassed durability and build quality. Is it true?

I had a couple of toshiba and fell in love with them both had a small issue with the last one but once I corrected it was fine forever.

In general Toshes have decent build quality. Personally I would rate Lenovo slightly ahead but that does not mean Toshes are in any way substandard. Neither are truly unsurpassed: if budgets are unlimited then there are a range of toughened and rugged machines (rugged are more robust than toughened) that have varying degrees of shock, drop and water resistance. The only real downside to a Tosh is that generally they are slightly more expensive that the equivalent Dell, Acer or whatever, but you get what you pay for.

No! Always get a HP. They are the best laptop brand out there for entertainment. If you want build quality, the dell studio laptop is the way to go.

Buy a monitor from Best Buy and plug it in. You can check at Toshiba's website if others had any luck repairing a laptop monitor. I don't think you'll find many happy answers.
2 :
The screen on a laptop is one of the more expensive parts. I cracked one once and was given a cost of over $100 to replace it - just used it with an external monitor thereafter. But first check the electrical connection between the cpu and the screen; it may have come loose where it plugs into the motherboard or may have a break / cut along its length. Get someone technically competent to look at it.

My toshiba sattelite u405-s854 laptop is missing all of its rubber stoppers on the bottom of the laptop. It slides too easily and can very easily fall on the ground. Can anyone please help me find where I can purchase them? (I need 5) Thanks!!

You can buy rubber "bumpers" (as they're called) in a hardware store or at Walmart or whatever is near you and I just superglue them to the bottom of my laptop. I even sent it in to the warrenty people like that and they didn't say anything, and the rubber feet worked just fine! They don't fit into the old holes and the self-stick adhesive wasn't that good when my laptop heated up, thats why I used superglue.
