there are special cables that connect laptops with TV's...i myself have one .. and i think that i doesn't matter what type of laptop u have :D ...there is a hole in the back of the compter :)) that looks like a hole that the TV has...and that is where you connect the cable :D...hope it helps :-*
2 :
Connect the notebook to your LCD or Plasma by HDMI cable if possible. If not use the standard 15-pin VGA cable connection which both the tv and notebook should definately have. Power on the TV first then the notebook. (So it can detect the external display). After it boots, make sure your tv is selected on the right input chanel (HDMI or VGA input). If you don't get any picture on the screen immediately try pressing Fn+F4 (The Function button on your laptop and the F4 key, which usually has a little square like a TV on it which refers to external display). If you are still having difficulty, you may need to play around with your display settings. Right click an empty space on the desktop, click personalise and click on display settings. Click Advanced Settings and look for multiple display options... Best of luck!

My Toshiba laptop's screen is broken

My Toshiba laptop's screen is broken. How do I switch to an external monitor?
I foolishly cracked the screen on my Toshiba laptop but fortunately I could still see 1/4 of the screen. I was able to set up an external monitor and I switch over to use that monitor exclusively by using the right click menu on the Windows desktop. I just moved to a new house and disconnected the monitor from the laptop. When I turn on the laptop I find that the screen is now completely unreadable and it won't switch over to the monitor. Is there a keyboard shortcut I can use to switch over to the monitor? I tried Fn + F5 but it didn't work.

How can I fix horizontal lines on my Toshiba laptop screen?
I have a Toshiba Satellite A45S1202 laptop, and a few days ago, horizontal lines appeared on my screen. The guy at Staples said I need a new screen. But now the lines are gone and the screen is fine. Does anyone know a simple fix for this problem without replacing the screen? Now that this has happened once, is my screen about to go completely out, or do I have some time before it does? Any troubleshooting help you have would be appreciated! Thanks!

It is possible it is still covered, just call toshiba, they will need the serial number and model of the laptop. They may also need to register you over the phone for your warranty if you didnt register it with them. have your laptop handy with your receipt if you still have it. worst case scenario you take it to a repair shop and its going to cost anywhere from 50.00-150.00 to get it fixed it may be they can just pop the keys back on.

Define "get to". It's right there up on top of the screen. Touch it. "Use it"? What, exactly, does that mean? Run a camera program that lets you take pictures. That's how you take pictures with a webcam. (You thought it "just worked"? No. It needs software to DO anything.)

Call the Manufacturer for the recovery cd's/dvd's, they should send a copy upon requests... Now, turn on the laptop and just as it's starting up...please press the F11 key repeatedely till taken into the recovery program/wizard... Follow the instructions to detail and your computer will recover to factory settings perfectly... I am in hopes that this was of assistance to you... I'm a A+ Certified Tech.

For that particular model, pretty sure you got that from Best Buy, you can make your own restore disc with either 2 or 3 dvd and restore your own computer. Toshiba includes a recovery disc application.

Call Toshiba customer service and see if you can send it out and have it repaired, but from what I've heard, you cannot replace an LCD screen on a laptop, therefore you might have to get a new one. Call Toshiba first and if there's nothing they can do, then you're gonna have to get that kid's parents to pay for your laptop and get a new one.

To check startup programs type msconfig in run and click OK then go to the Startup Tab Or that has been set as your Start Windows sound Control Panel>Sounds and Audio>Sounds Tab There you can choose what sounds windows uses for notifications and you can even turn off the annoying Navigation Click

I always give clear answers , the answer here depends to when do you hear that sound ? If when windows start then go to sounds in control panel , search for windows startup sound and disable it , but if you hear the sound before windows starts then press f2 at the 1st screen appears , you intered settings , search for sound and disable it from there , and by the way you can control open/close lid sound from there too >>suzi

Your computer comes with the resources to wipe it clean. You could just delete the partition and reinstall your operating system with your Windows disk. Never pay for that kind of crap.

Bring it to the store where you bought it and ask for repairing or replacement. you cannot fix the keyboard yourself since changing laptop keyboard is not just as simple as throwing a desktop keyboard away and replace a new one. Not that simple dude!
2 :
If the lap top is in warranty Toshiba will replace the key board. Contact Toshiba for a local authorized repair center or to send in for repairs. Contact Toshiba to order the new key board. http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp
3 :
Toshiba will not replace the keyboard for an issue that is caused by wear & tear. It is not covered by your STANDARD LIMITED WARRANTY. Try reading the manuals that came w/ the laptop for warranty details. If the key cap just came of, that means that you type with such a heavy finger. Try putting it back with fix-it or some other instant glue. If you can't fix it, that's when you'll have to have it repaired. If your computer is still in warranty and you have already registered it on-line before (support.toshiba.com), then call Toshiba's Tech Support hotline number (800-457-7777) for further technical assistance. FYI, which ever country your call will be routed to, please be patient & polite to the person who will take your call. After all, you are the one calling them for assistance with whatever issue you are having with your portable computer. Make sure to speak your name clearly (spell it, if need be) & provide all the info needed & asked for. They are trained professionals for handling simple matters, so I believe they should be able to assist you w/ any issue as long as IT IS WITHIN THEIR SCOPE OF SUPPORT. It depends on the company but be cooperative because these phone technicians have a specific handle time to be able to resolve the issue of a caller, so please do not be a jerk. Listen carefully to their instructions & follow it, because IF YOU THINK YOU KNOW MORE, then WHY CALL FOR ASSISTANCE IN THE FIRST PLACE. If your computer's 1-yr Standard Limited Warranty has ALREADY EXPIRED, don't expect too much. Ask them politely & talk to them in a friendly manner, for they are there to listen and PROVIDE YOU BASIC INFORMATION as much as they can. Best time to call, after midnight Pacific Time. Visit the website for more info. Try calling the National Parts Depot 31 Elkay Drive, Chester, NY 10918 Toll Free: (800) 524-8338 for availability & price of the whole keyboard set. FYI: I always tell my customers, a laptop's battery is similar to a cell phone's. You charge it when it's depleted & you unplug the adapter when it is already fully charge (this will prevent the battery from getting overcharged & extend the life of the battery). So for less hassle, I always advice my customers to just remove the battery if they plan to use the computer for long hours straight (more than 1 hour) and just run it on AC power alone so as not to overcharge it & shorten the battery life. FYI, laptop, as the name itself... well, I really don't use it on my lap b'coz sometimes our leg, the bed cover or some clothing may already be blocking the air vent without our knowledge. Also, if your computer is running a lot of applications that means that the HDD (Hard Disc Drive) is moving very fast and any minute (small) movements of your legs creates vibrations inside (which we wont see from the outside) that causes damage to the HDD discs, and eventually in a long time (when the damage is too much and in some cases the HDD makes a sound) the hard drive will crash. So, if your laptop came with a HDD protection utility, just like what Toshiba and HP has, you can always lower down the sensitivity level to level 2 or 1 but never completely disable the protection utility to prevent the HDD from getting damage from the inside and use the computer on a stable surface. Now, like what I always tell my customers, to always create a restore point (every last day or first day of the month) and make sure that you constantly back-up any important pictures, documents or files from your HDD to a Flash Drive/Thumb Drive or writable DVD±R or an external HDD, so that you will not lose any of these info just in case something bad happens. Are you a game enthusiasts playing for long hours? You need a notebook cooler. I have a Cooler Master U2 Notebook Cooler w/c has dual purposes. Detach the easily detacheable dual fan, & you can use the aluminum frame as a protection for your laptop's LCD screen when inside the bag. I got mine from MicroCenter.com for 48% cheaper than the regular $24.99 tag (FRYS.com SKU#: 6344931).

How do I restore a Toshiba laptop to factory settings if I do not have the restore disc?

How do I restore a Toshiba laptop to factory settings if I do not have the restore disc?
I was given a broken Toshiba laptop. I had the screen replaced and it works great. Although I personally hate vista. Anyway. It has a lot of programs on it in Polish. I don't speak Polish and would find it much easier to restore the PC than trying to uninstall all of the Polish programs. Thanks for any help. System Restore does not restore factory settings. It only restores to an earlier point. And the earliest point available still includes the polish software.

What would you think if you saw someone with a Toshiba laptop?

What would you think if you saw someone with a Toshiba laptop?
Okay so I'm a new college student and like all new college students, it's time tin invest in a laptop. I'm using my left over financial aid which is roughly about $600. So I was planning on hopefully getting a nice hp with windows 7 because that's what our desktop is and I LOVE it. But now my dad this Toshiba kick which I'm really not all that thrilled about. So, is a Toshiba just as cool looking as an Hp or Dell? Which would you prefer?
Polls & Surveys - 5 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
I'd prefer a MacBook. Seriously though, just go with the best computer that you can afford.
2 :
I'm for Toshiba because mine's Toshiba...
3 :
Toshiba is a little too pricey for me. My Acer Travelmate 6293-6170 with Win 7 Pro was about $800 cheaper than the Toshiba with roughly the same specs.
4 :
i'd prefer a Toshiba, i've heard they are good, HP are just ugly lol, not that the looks matter and i've seen some problems on Dell.
5 :
I am sorry this question, is just wrong..lol when did a Hp look cool ? they are bulky and usually very ugly, Dell again not pretty but good machines, Toshiba are reliable work horses and out of the 3 are cool as you put it. Toshiba's are slow at boot up and tend to bloat their systems a lil. question is what do you use a computer for if it is a lil word processing, surfing and playing music doesn't really matter what you get just get something with at least 2gb ram and try to get windows 7 on it. If you need it to run programs that are cpu hungry well then you need something with a bit more spec but really buying a computer on looks is really silly.

Satellite U500 Toshiba laptop

Toshiba Laptop - Can you switch between discrete & integrated graphics?
Hi. I am planning to purchase a Satellite U500 Toshiba laptop with discrete graphics and the core i5 chip. I know some of the laptops out there offer an option to switch between the integrated graphics & discrete graphics to save on power. Does anyone know if that is possible with Toshiba laptops? Thanks.

I just got an old Toshiba laptop, and it is loaded with data

I just got an old Toshiba laptop, and it is loaded with data. How can I do a full system restore on it?
I just got a used Toshiba laptop, and it is loaded with data. I want to know how to do a complete system restore so I can get rid of all the other person's files (whom I got it from). I've read other questions and answers, and most of them say I need a special disk that I did not receive. Can I get some help?
Laptops & Notebooks - 6 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
If you don't have a special disk from the manufacturer (Toshiba), then you will need to find the drivers on Toshiba's website so that you can load them after you format and reinstall Windows. You'll need video, audio, and network drivers, most likely.
2 :
You can manually delete the files, pictures etc but can be time consuming. Older lap tops do not have a built in system recovery to re install the operating system and this is what you need to do to remove all the stuff on it. A system restore will not do this as it will only take the system back to a previous date and time but does not change or remove files or programs. You can order a set of operating system disc from http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp by model and serial number if it is not to old.
3 :
First thing to try, even though it probably won't work with an OLD Toshiba laptop anyway, is to try and run a restore from the recovery partition. This will restore the laptop to how it was brand new. To access the Toshiba recovery partition, power off the laptop. Hold down the 0 (zero) key and turn the laptop on. Keep holding down the zero key until the TOSHIBA logo appears, where you should start tapping the zero key repeatedly. Stop if the unit beeps or when the TOSHIBA logo disappears. The screen should flash ** HDD RECOVERY MODE ** for a split second, then load the Toshiba recovery program right from the hard drive.
4 :
You can get recovery CDs for many different models of computers at a very reasonable price at this web site: http://www.ezrestorepc.com/ I got a recovery CD package from them for my old HP system (my original CDs were scratched and could not be read) and it was a lifesaver. To use the recovery CD, you just pop in the first CD, boot up the system, and follow the prompts.
5 :
I agree with the previous response. You'll need to request restore disks to re-install windows, but of course this is in case you can't create the restore disks themselves. Your Toshiba laptop should have a utility for this in the programs menu. System restore is useful if your laptop has created a restore point prior to when that person installed all that data. If not, a restore disk is necessary or you can identify and remove those programs one by one. There's one exception though. If your laptop still kept a system partition (only visible in disk management), then when you restart your computer you should see on the black screen some recovery options. I don't recall if it's F8, F12 or F1 but I only did it once for a customer. Within that you can restore your system to its factory condition without the discs.

My Toshiba Satellite laptop is completely broken, would I be able to recover my data?

My Toshiba Satellite laptop is completely broken, would I be able to recover my data?
My dad had a tantrum and decide to break it. The screen is all cracked and what not, the top is cracked, and the disk drive is like hanging out of it. It's a mess and it's not fixable. So will I be able to remove the hard drive from it and recover my files? If so, would I have to put it in the same kind of Toshiba laptop or will I be able to put it in any computer and get my files?
Other - Computers - 3 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :If the drive is "readable" still, then you can put it into another laptop, but it may not boot... A desktop can read it only if you get the proper adapter to match your desktop. laptops use "mini" versions of IDS and SATA connectors. I use a universal USB external drive adapter, which can connect to SATA, IDE and laptop drives, and I just plug it into my USB port and read the drive. These are commonly available on Ebay for about $10, maybe a bit more with the external power adapter.
2 :You should be able to recover the files as long as the hard drive is intact. If it is, you'll need to hook it up to another computer as an external hard drive through a USB adapter. You can either get a hard drive dock, or just an adapter and power adapter fairly inexpensive.
3 :hi Dear friend there is a way recover your data, as long as data info is still on your hard drive. Here what you can do!!! 1) buy a usb to ide/sata adapter i will give a link where to buy the item on amazon or mwave. mwave are located on walnut CA if u have anymore question let me know about the device email me @ ahernand24@rocketmail.com

I have a toshiba satellite laptop and it has a writable dvd on it. How do I make a dvd that is readable on a dvd player? I've never done it before, only made music cds. Is it the same? I have different home videos I'd like to put on a dvd along with movies saved on my computer.

There is an easy way can help you, you should use RZ DVD Creator, it can create standard home DVD, it can convert and burn any videos to DVD(DVD+R,DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-DL, DVD+DL, etc), such as avi to DVD, etc. Work well, easy to use, inexpensive, i like it, and i believe that once you try it, you will like it too. 1 : Run system restore. Select the date and time when it is working fine with sound. Do not use that dell CD again since you have Toshiba.
2 : If you want to safely update your system, get the drivers from the toshiba support site, or use a driver update program. At least that will match your exact hardware with the right driver and OS version.

How do i change my toshiba laptop notebook into a gaming laptop?

How do i change my toshiba laptop notebook into a gaming laptop?
I have a toshiba satellite A135-S7403, and i got it with windows xp, is there any way FREE, that i can change it into a gaming laptop?

1 :Lol. Fail.
2 :LMAO
3 :There isnt a secret switch that changes it to game mode. The hardware you have determines what games if any you can run and at what level of detail.
4 :Normally when your interested in gaming you usually buy new computer hardware for that purpose, simply because games are the one of the most demanding tasks you can ask of a computer. However, there is a free alternative, subject to hardware limitations (GPU, RAM, processor). To get the absolute most out of your system you'll need to change your operating system to a less demanding one. You can install Ubuntu (which is user friendly), or you can give Gentoo a try. Gentoo compiles itself basically as it installs so it can fit you computer in ways no other operating system can, but you have to be willing to learn, or you can simply try Ubuntu. As far as games go linux has plenty of games, and on top of that you can run some windows games as well using the WineHQ windows API Layer. In addition to that you can also add Game emulators, these are programs that allow you play sony, super nintento etc games on Linux. Thus even though you want to go the free route, you still have lots of choices, and that's what Linux, UNIX and Opensource is about. If you are willing to learn you'll never want to go back lol. So to get some information on using Linux, as a Gaming Platform see the list of sites below. PS. I really recommend you spend some time on it and try Gentoo it should run the fastest on your system between the two. Hope this helps.
5 :It will be very expensive to turn your laptop into gaming laptop!I think you should check for a brand new alienware laptop.
6 :Are you asking.... ... is there any way to update and upgrade this laptop to enable me to play modern and recent games? Or are you asking... ... is there any way at all to use this Older Toshiba as a gaming platform? They are two different questions with two different answers. If you want to update and upgrade the laptop to play modern and recent games, the answer is No. If you want to play games on that laptop, regardless of WHAT games they are... the answer is Yes. You can find games that will play well enough on that laptop. The Original Quake... the Original Starcraft, etc... older games have a better chance of playing well on that unit. You would need to spend some time on GameSpot http://www.gamespot.com/ or other game review sites to dig up older game titles, and compare their system requirements to the specs of that Satellite... http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Satellite-A135-S7403-Notebook-1-73GHz/dp/B00169PCGQ ... 1.73ghz single core processor, initial 512mb Ram, Intel GMA 950, etc. end of line

The make/model of a computer has nothing to do with what programs it will run (in most cases). What is important is your Operating System, i.e. Windows XP/Vista, Mac OS X, Linux Ubuntu/Fedora/SUSE. Chances are if you've purchase the laptop recently you're running Windows Vista. I don't recommend using any Microsoft software, but there are exceptions. Try Mozilla's Thunderbird for your mail. You won't regret it! http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/
2 :
Vista does not have Outlook Express. Vista has Windows Mail - Outlook Expressed renamed.

What do I do when my Toshiba laptop desktop freezes up but the start menu still works?

What do I do when my Toshiba laptop desktop freezes up but the start menu still works?
After my Toshiba laptop has been on for a couple of hours, the icons on the desktop stop working. I can still get to everything through my start menu but I have the shortcuts on my desktops for a reason, the ease of getting to them. If I restart my computer everything works again but I was wondering if there is a better solution out there. Any suggestions?

If you charge it fully might help. if not then you will probably just have to restart it.
2 :
Re-installing Windows should fix it, but that's a bit extreme. First, make sure there's at least 3 or 4 GB of free space on the hard drive. Then, if it still gives trouble, try increasing the page file size. De-fragmenting the hard drive can help too. Presumbly you have up-to-date anti-virus and anti-spyware software on your computer, and presumably you run it from time to time... Do you? If - after doing the above - it's still crap, then a Windows re-install is the answer. If it's old but you want to keep it, you could put more RAM in it. That should help - but only once you've fixed any under-lying problems. p.s. I can't help but laugh at the superstitious black magic being espoused by Kathryn above... p.p.s. Use Firefox (www.mozilla.org) as your web browser and not Internet Explorer. That'll make a big difference on any computer!
3 :
It can be overload or virus infected. I would recommend you clean windows registry to solve the problem. Download a tool called RegTool and scan your PC under safe mode. http://www.keep-pc-clean.com/

1. load the product recovery disc in the drive and turn off the computer's power. 2. Switch on the computer and, when the "In Touch With Tomorrow TOSHIBA" prompt appears, press the F12 key to display the boot menu. For 2HDD model, If HDD1 is first, go to step 3. If HDD1 is not first do as follows: select <Enter setup> press the F9 key to set default settings, and select the [yes] When the "in touch with tomorrow TOSHIBA" prompt appears press F12 key to display boot menu. continue with step 3. 3. use the up or down cursor keys to select the optical disc drive in the displayed menu. 4. follow the on screen instructions 5.If your computer came with additional software installed, this software cannot be recovered from the product recovery DVD ROM. My new Toshiba laptop is freezing almost constantly. How do I get it to work properly?
I just recently bought my Toshiba Satellite L645D with windows 7 home premium preinstalled. It did not come with any installation discs. The computer has been freezing very frequently and staying frozen for a good amount of time. It is a brand new computer and my old laptop runs smoother than it does. Is there any way to fix the problem?

Yes go to the Toshiba web site and download all the updated drivers and BIOS http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK You should burn your own recovery discs (2 DVDs) this is done using the Toshiba Disc Creator software that is installed on your machine. Make sure you have TEMPRO turned on as it will alert you to all and any new driver file that is designed for your system
2 :
Take it back where you bought it, and politely insist they either fix it or give you another. There is absolutely no excuse for a new computer to not work correctly.
3 :
maybe the corruption in registry causing it to freeze. run a registry repair scan through intel partner software reginout
4 :
There can be two issues: 1. Virus (Use AVG free) 2. Corrupt registry (Use Reginout ) I am sure it will help you.

Your laptop should have system recovery software on your hard drive in a hidden partition. This procedure differs between manufacturers. Look at the following http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/cont...208010_web.pdf or http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/cont...339010_web.pdf Toshiba do vary this procedure a little between models I believe. Will a Toshiba laptop have driver compatibility issues if the hard drive was replaced with one from a Dell?
Okay, here's the deal. My girlfriend's father replaced the hard drive from his ANCIENT Toshiba Sat Laptop with one from a Dell Laptop. Alot of the drivers seem to be having compatibility issues, and I was wondering if there is a conflict because the HD is from a different brand of laptop. Help me out here!

You will most likely have to reinstall the Operation System on the new drive, since they will both be installed with totally different drivers that arent meant for the new computer. Other than that if the drives are similar types, it's fine.
2 :
DUDE u can't just throw a hdd in a computer and get it to work... What has happened is The hard drive is set up for the dell computer and not the toshiba.. To fix this your going to have to "reboot" aka format the hard drive and then find the disks that came with your toshiba computer and load them all up on there
3 :
Yes he will have driver compatibility issues. The drivers are different on each lap top and hard drive he will have to download and install all the correct drivers for the Toshiba and delete/remove the Dell lap top drivers for it to work correctly. Because the operating system if he has not change it was installed for the Dell along with all the Dell utilities and drivers. Simplest thing would be to just install the original Toshiba operating system using a set of recovery disc onto the Dell hard drive, it will write over the Dell stuff and every thing on the HD. He could have just gotten a new hard drive and then installed the OS, hard drives are not all that expensive any more. He can find all the correct drivers here: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp by model number.

Even if the hard disk is deleted than also there is one backup storage system. Using that storage system you can restore your files.

I would buy a Dell Inspiron E1505. This is the best computer for the money. Dell stands behind there computers. If you have a problem they will walk you through it. And if it breaks they will offer you a new one at exchange free of charge. And you keep yours untill the new one come in the mail. And only then do you send your in to them. No one else offers this kind of service. The first line of connection to the internet was VIA phone line, all computer connect this way. Wireless is optional. BUY DELL.
3 :
I'm on my second Toshiba (actually an L45) and it's OK for what I need. I spend alot of time on things like CNET and laptopreviews.com to make my decision; but in the end I can only look so much and make a general choice out of two or three that have the specs and reviews. I looked at the Dell E1500 and really wanted that but Ebay did not cooperate . I don't have an issue with buying used on Ebay since the risk of having a bad machine is minimal; and if it is for me it's no big deal. The L45 I just got was $345.00 delivered. Everything these days will have an Ethernet (for a wired internet hookup: in my case through a college LAN) connection and a wireless capibiliy which is pretty neat after u use WiFi a few times . Just look at the specs
4 :
I would suggest TOSHIBA. i worked in there and quality is superb, you can expect 100% total reliability, if you want to have it wireless its possible, it has a mini PCI that can connect to wireless as well as with connection at home. Your money will be worth buying toshiba

actually, yeah that does look like a really good laptop for the price, i actually might considering getting one for my self. the processor is a little on the slow side, but what can you expect from a laptop. and 1gb of RAM is ok to start, but if you'll be doing lots of multimedia stuff (video, sound, photo editing) then you will definitely want to upgrade to at least 2gb, or just do it all on your home pc. anyways, i would soo buy it!
2 :
I had one of those. I dropped it once and it never worked after that. Now i have a hp pavilion which i have dropped countless times, and it still works very well. Hps are great.

if your really want a good deal and can wait a little longer, i would wait till after christmas and bag a good bargain! even check on ebay after christmas and you'll get a excellent deal.

I looked at one yesterday at Office Depot and today in 2 advertisments. It was 32 on my list mostly beacuse of the price but then it's one of thise deals you have to stand in line for sometimes. Office depot was out of this and my 31 choice when I walked in at store opening time so they never had it. It suffers a couple things but is still a good value - in fact it is called a value Notebook on the counter slip. The screen is a 15.4 (good), but is not tru brite ( not as good but still not s deal breaker. It has Windows Basic and not Windows a Premium (this can make a differeant depending on what youw ant it for. If you just emailing and surfing the web it woill work fine), if your wanting to do images in photography and big speadsheets not so good.) I don't know whre it atands on DVD movies or Windows media player for music but you might want to ask about this. And third it has a snall 80 GB hard drive,. Again not a deal breaker as I have had several laptops I have never stored that much on, and if you find you need it you can always get a external HD that can go from PC to PC when ever you want (smart). So good luck finding one you cvan get it if it will work for you! My plan was to add a portable External HD I already had and add a GB of ran for $70 also at the same store as it would be used for photography. Good luck!
