try reinstalling the driver for the touch pad. this should be a link to the driver you need. scroll down the list and click the sriver that corresponds to you operating system (i.e. windows vista, xp) http://12.36.127.150/support/drive.cfm if this doesnt work try fixing it in the bios, you get to the bios by pressing a button at startup. i dont know what button it is for toshiba but it's usually F12 or F11 or delete. and if that doesnt work buy a cheap laptop mouse, they're easier to use. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7975765&st=laptop+mouse&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1153998861885

alright use a mouse to get to the control panel and look for the toshiba controls for touchpad. They can be under mouse or some other toshiba related icon.

When I get on the internet on my Toshiba laptop?

Toshiba Laptop!!?
When I get on the internet on my Toshiba laptop it will just keep randomly opening more internet explorers of the same webite I'm on. I don't think the laptop has a virus because I've been very careful of what sites I visit. Is there a solution for this?

whether the website youre on is causing that, or you have a virus. do anti-virus check and visit other sites to see if it does the same.
2 :
Try using a different browser such as firefox, if the problem persists scan it. If you think your AV is missing the virus (if you have one), at the very least download a trial version of something like rising AV.
3 :
check to see if any keys are stuckdown might be browser issue might be maleware or spyware not necesarily a virus but can be trojan possible other issues too but without proper diagnosis can't say for sure

Hello The first 2 answers are good. A defective mouse can cause this problem. Are you using an external mouse? If so, power of your laptop and disconnect it. Power on your laptop and use the on-board device. Right click your Internet Explorer Icon Left click Properties Under Browsing History click Delete Click Delete All near the bottom of this screen. Check Also delete files and setting stored by add-ons Click Yes If you can get onto the internet with one of the open brower screens, update your virus scanner. When it is finished updating, close all windows. Open My computer Right click on C:\ Left click Properties. Click on Tools Tab at the top of this window. Under Error-checking click Check Now Place checks in both boxes Click Start Click Yes on the message box Restart your laptop without connecting to the internet. Before you Operating system loads, Check disk will start in a Blue screen. Do not touch anything - let it run - Windows will start when it is done. This may take a few hours if it finds numerous errors - it will attempt to fix them and retore data and bad sectors. When your computer starts - Do NOT connect to the Internet. Do a manual thorough virus scan of your whole Hard drive. This may take a few hours depending on the speed of the computer, size of the hard drive, number of threats found. You virus scanner may inform you have to restart your computer to remove some of the threats; if this message appears restart your computer. Do NOT connect to the Internet. When the virus scanner is completely finished, click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Defragmenter Click on Defragment; If Disk Defragmenter has a message that deframenting is not necessary - do it anyway. Good Luck

I have a Toshiba Laptop w/ XP, and I wouldn't switch just yet. Vista has some problems with other hardware. (Printers, floppy drives IF you still use them, etc.) I'd wait until they fix the glitches. (another year or so)
