How can I get my Toshiba Laptop Screen fixed?

How can I get my Toshiba Laptop Screen fixed?
I purchased a great Toshiba laptop last June at Office Depot. I also purchased the Office Depot warranty. I have no idea what to do but my laptop screen is totally ruined and I am not sure what to do next! Do I contact Toshiba or take it to Office Depot? Will anyone fix it or am I out of luck?

Did you drop it, hit it with a baseball bat or shoot it with a rocket launcher? Noone will fix it for free, and it will cost you the price of a new laptop to fix it. Did it break itself or just stop working one day? Take it back to Office Depot. By the way, if you dropped it, take it back anyway and they might fix it for you anyway. Just don't mention you dropped it ;).

Check with OD. Sometimes the store's warranty covers repairs to things even when you caused the damage. Toshiba on the other hand will not repair user damage; it is not covered in the warranty and you will pay a hefty dollar for service.

If you ruined it through something you did and not a hardware problem, it will not be covered by the warranty. The cost to fix it, is not worth the price because you can buy a new one for less. But since it is under warranty, take it to Office Depot first, or you will void your warranty if you have it fixed elsewhere!

You should first check for repairs using the warranty from Office Depot, I always buy the factory extended warranty not a stores warranty. Toshiba does offer extended warranty with or with out accidental damage coverage. If you do not have the accidental coverage they will not fix it for free. Contact one of these for price if OD will not fix it: http://www.QHT.com (this one is also a warranty center for Toshiba) or http://www.frys.com I have used both and have had good luck. Hope this helps.
