Worth replacing ribbon cable from screen to motherboard on Toshiba?

Worth replacing ribbon cable from screen to motherboard on Toshiba laptop?
A friend of mine was trying to fix my laptop and cracked the ribbon cable connecting the motherboard to the screen. This is on a 3 year old Toshiba Satellite laptop. Is this a cheap repair or is it not even worth fixing? Any suggestions?

if he broke something while trying to fix something else its sounds like your laptop is screwed. Get a new one

SORRY TO TELL YOU,IT WILL COST A BUNCH TO GET IT FIXED BY THE FACTORY,ANYTIME YOU OPEN A LAPTOP YOU WILL CAUSE BIG TIME PROBLEMS,THAT IS WHY THEY MAKE THEM THE WAY THEY DO,,SO YOU WILL HAVE TO SND IT BACK TO FACTORY FOR REPAIR.
