Help get wireless connection on Toshiba laptop?

Help get wireless connection on Toshiba laptop?
I have a Toshiba laptop, and prior to today it was receiving wireless connection just fine. However, now it does not even recognize that any are present, even though there are multiple. The wireless router I have works just fine with my xbox still, and a wired connection through it still works on the computer. Any ideas on how to fix this?

many laptops have a wireless switch, check that. also check if the wireless driver is still there by right click computer>manage>device manager>network adapter. You can also try to reinstall the driver.
2 :
make sure your wireless power button wasn't accidentally turned off.

Well the first think you will want to do is ensure that the wireless on your laptop is turned on best way to do this is FN (function) and (on most computer its the key) F2 others its F12 (best way to identify it is look for an icon of an antenna with radio signals). This should then enable or disable your WiFi. If your WiFi is confirmed to be on right click on the "Network Connections Icon" This is typically on the bottom right hand side of your computer next to the clock and will look like two computers connected. Right click this icon and make sure your wireless network appears. If you have done the above and its still not connecting move the computer closer the router if in another room. If your able to connect then try putting the router in a higher spot this will allow the signal to spread through the house more better. If your still unable to connect disconnect the router for a moment and then try to reinstall the drivers for the wireless NIC. Reconnect the router and try again. Now if this still doesn't work take the computer to your local McDonald's or Starbucks if your able to connect to there wireless network you will want to look at the router, if you are unable to connect to there wireless network, there is something wrong with your Wireless NIC card. Things we can do with the router are: 1) Power it off wait a min and power it back on. 2) check the firm ware on the router. 3) reset to factory defaults . If the problem is with your NIC you can go to Best Buy, Radio Shack or any computer store and buy a Wireless Network card. This card will cost probably about 25 or cheaper on ebay.
