How can i reset or change a setup password on my toshiba laptop?
My laptop has a setup password when it turns on. for some reason now when i type it in it doesn't work. It keeps saying invalid password. Is there any way to reset the password to make it work again? its a toshiba a215-s6804

Thats possible, i do it many times on my mate’s laptop to get some assignments. if u have another pc or can borrow from some friend then this is perfect way.well , first of all u need is a password reseting application. Anyways after installing it. press start go to all programs, locate the program here ,its called active password reseter . then if u want to make a bootable cd press that option otherwise u can also use a usb, but i recommend CD, burn the cd. after that put the cd in the computer u wanna break password for. make sure that u have checked cd drive as the first boot device. if not , goto BIOS and change it. the cd will boot, then select the first option , “boot from active pass… cd� , press “0″ to select the option. now it will ask the location of the drive u want to search, go for the second option. after that , it will take some time to load SAM file on the computer . when done. press enter . now u will have three options ,: administrator, guest and normal username. now comes the main part 1 if u are trying to break into UR OWN computer , select ur username and reset the password by following the prompts. if u have some skill , u can play around with the options, go for it. though i would suggest u to just let the software do what ever it wishes to. now exit the application. restart ur computer, sometimes u have to press the main switch to restart it, dont forget to take the cd out . tada , ur password is erased. 2 IF U ARE LIKE ME ,AND WANT TO BREAK INTO SOMEONE ELSE COMPUTER AND DONT WANT TO LEAVE ANY TRACE OF UR ACTIVITY DO this: instead of selecting username, select administrator. and follow the prompts. restart the machine. logon by pressing the administrator profile on welcome screen, now it will take like 5 minutes for the computer to customize ur profile, dont worry let it take its time, after its done, ur free to play with what ever u wanted to . delete his data , do whatever, copy assignments (my personal favorite).when ur done, shut down the system, restart with the bootable cd again. again follow the same steps and select the administrator , now check the box in front of�disable this account� and ur done , press “y� and exit the application. take the cd out.now just to make sure that u have deleted the admin account. restart and goto welcome screen. now u will only find ur friends password demanding account sitting in the centre. hoooraaay. keep this cd away from all morons. and dont start telling to all and sundry. now turn off the computer , give urself a pat on the back thinking how evil u are. http://windowspassword.blogspot.com/2010/05/how-to-reset-windows-xp-password.html cheers this is only for educational purposes, i do not endorse any kind of hacking.
